Flippin' The Bird: Animation Test
Heres a quick animation test of a magpie. I usually upload to vimeo first and embed it on my blog but vimeo said this was too small of a file to be a valid video and if i make the file any bigger then flash freaks out trying to export it. I don't think my mac can handle exporting flash files, i'll have to start bringing fla.'s in to college and export them there but then of course the college internet sucks and wont let me upload to vimeo...

Short film
This year in college we a required to make a group film. I don't want to give to much away about it as its still in the early stages but here is some conceptual designs I did for it.
There are much designs done by our concept director Barry Keegan up on the films production blog, the blog is currently private but I'll be posting work I do on the film up here and eventually a link to the production blog when it's public.
Also check out my team members blogs for film updates and lots of other awesome stuff:

Zombie T-Shirt part 2
It's finally here http://www.spunky.co.uk/ although the colours have been massively modified without my knowing. The orange background was originally a dark blood red.
The not sure why they went with green as the second colour, it looks a bit to patriotic for me.
You can get the tshirt in mens and womens sizes
and you can choose between charcoal
Or a green for some reason

This is a stuffed zebra from the natural history museum, it took about 3 hours to draw with white colouring pencil on black paper.

Fish Eye
Back to college now and back to an endless flow of projects. This year we get to make a short animated film, so the first month or so in college will be conceptual work until we have a good idea to base or movies on. I think I'll do mine on big, happy, smiley fish like the ones below.
These are drawings I did so far in my conceptual notebook.
This last picture I did a year or two ago and is what I'm going to base my story around unless I change my mind and do something on unicorns instead.

Troll
I saw the movie 'Troll Hunter'. The trolls where good, the movie... not so much. I drew this after seeing the movie so the only reference I had was from memory. I took about 4o minutes to drew with a 2B pencil and a putty rubber.

Fancy Bird Part 2
In the last picture its....em... breast looked like a mouth so I tried to fix that.
I got rid of some shading that was cheating the mouth like shape.
I also made his eyes smaller, they adding to the weird mouth thing.

I didn't dare touch its fancy shoes.
Fancy Bird
I had some time over the last few days, in between doing work for the game (which still doesn't have a name), to do this Fancy Bird.
I don't know what the bird is more proud of its colourful plumage or its fancy shoes.
Probably the shoes.

Zombie T-Shirt
Back in February I sent this t-shirt design to Spunky, an online t-shirt store not unlike Threadless.
I got an email of Spunky's designs manager this morning saying they might use my design in the new range coming out in either September or November. So here's hoping.
I'll make sure to post a link here to the shirt on Spunky.co.uk when or if this happens.
So everyone can look like this guy ^ who ever he is.

Tattoo
I'm thinking of getting another tattoo, I want to get half a sleeve but I'm not sure what I want on it. So here's a few designs I drew that I might use. It will be awhile before I actually get it, I want to make sure I'm 100 percent happy with the design before committing it to ink.
And I realise that these designs are very detailed so if I can't find a good enough tattoo artist I'll just simplify them.

Online Game Part 2
Here's a size guide for some of the vehicles in the game I'm working on. I'll post the original graphic's when the game is released, there's still a good bit to do on it so this will have to do until then.

Online Game
I haven't posted in awhile, mainly because I haven't had anything to post. The main reason is I have been working a lot on a new online game with a very talented programmer and game developer, Lucas Speranza. Here's two of his games:
http://www.kongregate.com/games/lrsperanza/shoot-pixels
http://www.addictinggames.com/magnetic-ball-game.html
Because I'm doing all the art work for the next game, which is very graphically heavy, I haven't time to draw my usual mindless doodles. I don't want to give to much away about the game I'm working on, so I won't be posting any of the artwork until after the game is done unless its cool with Lucas, I'll have to run it by him first. All I can say is the game involves a lot of smashing stuff! and who doesn't like to smash stuff?

Leo and Satan
I did this picture a while back for a Halloween competition on Newgrounds.com I think it came third.
I made it because I'm a big fan of the Leo and Satan series.
Leo and Satan, if anyone doesn't already know, is an online cartoon series created by Chris O'Neill and Sean Kiely. You can watch all the episodes at www.youtube.com/show/leoandsatan or demonvault.com
And I suggest you do!
The main reason I'm making this post is to help support Chris's efforts to get Leo and Satan on TV. The more view's and hype, the more likely it is to get picked up and since Chris is a fellow Irishman, not to mention talented animator and a funny chap, I figured I'd do what i could to help
So go Subscribe and Like at www.youtube.com/user/OneyNG and www.facebook.com/leoandsatanofficial
Good luck in L.A Chris and Sean
Dublin Zombie Walk 2011
Using liquid latex for a rotted flesh look (liquid latex smells really bad)
Applying make up and finishing touches
Posing for the Zombarazzi
Taking to the streets with a horde of over 13000 zombies, for Cancer Research and the RNLI
Harassing some normal folk
Finally a well deserved pint.
